  We loved unit 44 for our week there. The unit is well kept, clean and well stocked. We did enjoy having air conditioning on a couple of the nights. While the unit has been updated in several areas, the shower in the master bedroom area is clean but doesn't look clean. maybe it could be on the list for a future renovation. We will definitely be back.

  Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Condo #55 is very spacious and a great layout, really catches the trade winds for good ventilation. Beautiful view, nice deck, great and well equipped kitchen.
  
  the not so good - the bed in the master bedroom was pretty awful - needs to be replaced. and the bathroom in the master BR was odd - great layout, double sinks, etc, but then a standard institutional bathtub and a very small, institutional stall shower. usable enough, but out of character with the rest of the unit.
  the lanai could also use a bit more shade, and was under repair, but still usable.
  Beautiful location, so all in all, a wonderful stay.

  There are several things about this unit that I found appealing for a long stay, starting with the amount of space to move around in. The large floor plan of the penthouse is the size of a small home, easily providing room for six to stay comfortably during a vacation. All of the furniture is of a floral design and quite comfortable to lounge around on ... and if you are on vacation, lounging is what you have in mind, at least PART of the time, right? A large screen TV hangs on the wall in the living room and is easily seen from all locations. The kitchen is roomy, comfortable to work in, has a sub-zero refrigerator, and the pots and pans are of really good quality and brand new. There are two lanais, one overlooking the parking lot (a good place to have a morning cup of coffee and catch the morning sun) and another overlooking the pool and the ocean (a good place to drink a frosty tropical head banger and catch the afternoon sun). Both bedrooms are equipped with high efficiency A/C units, so sleeping at night is quite nice. This is a plus because the road by the ocean has become a popular hangout and evening noise can definitely be a problem. All in all, an absolutely MARVELOUS stay as usual.

  This is the third time my wife and I have stayed at Poipu Kapili Resort so we obviouly appreciate this establishment. The location is perfect for walks, "beaching", shopping, dining and most of all relaxing in a beautiful environment. The staff is capable, friendly, and helpful. Yet, of the three times there I was satisfied the least this time because of the physical presentation of our condominium condition. The large lanai deck is undergoing repair which is very unsightly and is dirty to walk on (we were not informed of that when the reservation was made-it would have made a difference), the mattress feels worn-out, the dishes were dusty, and another guests "clothing" was found behind the l.r. couch. As I wrote the management, I felt this was becoming somewhat of a "beachhouse" unit, rather than an upscale condominium as I remembered from my previous stays.

  I love this place. Clean and comfortable condos. The addition of A/C to some of the rooms makes it that much better. I had a great view of the beach. The Poipu Kapili staff (Sandy, Mary and Lorraine) was fantastic... friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the island and various activities.
  
  I will continue to stay here on future trips to the island.
