  The good: lovely decor, comfortable bed, high quality television, two baths with toilets and showers (no tub), washer-dryer and a/c in bedroom.
  The not so good: very poor quality kitchen pans and utensils. Wobbly handle on a much used sauce pan, a metal handle on the skillet (burned us), miserable spatula and potato peeler. Lots of maintenance needed on kitchen-the dishwasher handle was loose, the types of wash cycles on the dishwasher unreadable from use, the light for the ge stove not working. Kitchen cabinet hinges in need of replacement. Cheap dish drainer pad in bad condition and the dish drainer too large to fit easily under the sink for storage. No good bowls for salad and cereal. No area to store food on shelves.
  The patio screen lacked a locking mechanism.
  The DVD remote did not work (old batteries) and no other battery replacements in unit.
  General Positives:
  
  Property: Beautiful outside grounds and very quiet except for a cranky toddler next door and the beeping of machines working on nearby property.
  Staff: Wonderful and helpful
  Negatives:
  One of the outside propane grills was not working.
  When the toilet was flushed upstairs, the noise was loud through our bedroom. Very annoying when this woke us up at night.

  We had rented Unit 25 at Poipu Kapilli last year for our first visit to Kauai and we loved our stay there. This year that unit was booked however we stayed in the unit two doors down and it was perfect, too---well furnished, comfortable with every amenity needed, a view to the ocean, near the pool. We were very happy. We love the proximity to the beach by the Sheraton, to hiking paths, restaurants and shops--and especially like the fresh fish we found in the local stores. The office staff is very helpful and made arrangements for our snorkel trip and rebooked our car rental when we needed something different. We are looking forward to our next visit---soon, we hope!

  We could not have been happier with the Poipu Kapili property and staff (in general) and Unit 21 (in particular)! We would love to return and we'll definitely highly recommend Poipu Kapili and Unit 21 to everyone thinking of vacationing in Kauai. A FIVE STAR experience all the way!

  Okay, let me start off by saying I have been staying at the Kapili on business for six years now and have stayed in a LOT of their condos and I keep coming back for a reason (great layouts, great accomodations, and staff that is out of this world). When I walked into this one bedroom unit that overlooks the pool, I immediately texted my co-worker (who had a two bedroom premium oceanfront) and told him he had to come look this place over. When he did, he asked if I was interested in trading!!! I don't have the room to do the place justice here, so let me just tell you to go online and look at #21. The only, and I mean the ONLY thing I was not so impressed with was the quality of the pots and pans (then again, I do a LOT of cooking for myself). Take my word for it, look online at #21. It is far enough away from the road at night too, that the noise factor (which the oceanfronts have to deal with as far as some rowdiness is not an issue). WOW, WOW, WOW!
